State Testing Site

In short, we’re a State Testing Site—for Elite Quality Nurse Aide Students. Students who have gone through our CNA Program are allowed to schedule their State Skills Tests at our facility. We typically have a state testing date once a month.

This is a huge advantage for our students for multiple reasons.

1) This means you’ll be able to test in a space where you learned, studied, and practiced. You’re able to test with equipment that you’re already familiar with and know where everything is.

2) You’re able to test in Lubbock. There aren’t many testing sites in West Texas and the Panhandle as there used to be, and those spots get filled quickly. With a testing site at our facility, that means you’re not having to travel hours to test and/or wait months to test.

3) This also means your testing partner will be another EQNAT student. This means you should have more consistency once you do test—not that this other person will help you during your testing—but rather, since they went through the same program as you, they will be on the same page on testing protocols.

While the BSN Program at Texas Tech does not require you to become CNA certified to be accepted into their nursing program, becoming certified has its advantages.

1) You’re given precedence over others who haven’t become certified. While numerous factors go into becoming accepted into Texas Tech’s BSN program, they do acknowledge that having your state certification ranks highly for them.

2) Being certified means you’re able to gain so much more experience. Being able to work in facilities and hospitals and gaining tangible, real-world experience is the greatest thing you can add to your resume. You will learn just as much here as you will in the classroom.
